I'd like to reinstall an application on windows, but it doesn't show under the add/remove programs field in the control panel.

I wish Windows gave up on the whole monolithic registry architecture.

Macs have something like that, too, which looks a lot like the package management on Solaris, but adding/removing apps is a breeze.
