i guess its because as time goes on, that last incremental moment becomes a smaller part of your whole past, and thus becomes less noticeable. next thing you know, you're all old and shit. 8/18/2007 7:45:13 PM |

Every freaking day of work feels incredibly long to me.

it has to do with the fact that older people have slower literal time perception. this has been measured in multiple scientific studies. if you sit young people down for one minute, they consistently over-estimate how long they've been sitting. If you sit old people down for one minute, they consistently under-estimate how long they've been sitting 8/19/2007 6:18:26 AM |

The older I get, the longer my hangovers last after an alcohol bender.
i'm at two days of misery after one night of drinking now.

Michio Kaku did a whole show on this. It should still be up on his MySpace page. The guy is unbelievably smart. 8/22/2007 9:48:44 AM |

I actually don't think that time goes faster the older you get. My college years flew by, but the time between August 2006 and August 2007 felt like five years. Maybe it was just all the change between moving back to Raleigh, working different jobs and some personal heartbreak, but I think that it was possibly the slowest year of my life. 9/4/2007 4:38:43 PM |
