yes, i know, its vista

but has anyone else on here had problems with opening even the smallest PDF file and troubleshot it ?

itll open to the first page and when i try to scroll, or even before that its like it freezes up thinking

I think the problem lies in the combined inefficiency and bloat of Microsoft and Adobe.

Uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader

Install Foxit Reader http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader_2/down_reader.htm

Do you mean take any document or file and print/save as a PDF? Use PDFCreator, it's free http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/

However, if you mean active editing of a PDF, then you can stick with Adobe or find another one, but the editors are all payment required.

The full version of PDFill costs money, but it includes a "PDF Tools" feature that is free. you can merge, split, edit, etc PDF.

THere are some tweaks you can make to Adobe that wll minimize the excessive load times and crashes but it will continue to wreak havoc on your RAM.

Foxit/ODFCreator FTW!
