It's always a toss up as to which Clemson team will show up year in and out...after starting out 7-1 last year and cracking the top10, we pissed it away and ended up losing to the cocks and then Kentucky in a lousy bowl game. There could be no worse ending to the season.

This year Will Proctor is gone (thank god), and highly touted QB Willy Korn is waiting in the wings of Cullen Harper to begin his tenure. How long it will be before Korn starts is one of the key questions.

Clemson returns one of the most explosive backfields in the country in C.J Spiller and James Davis. Both have been named to the Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch List.

"Davis, a junior from Atlanta, GA, was a first-team All-ACC selection last year when he gained 1187 yards and scored 17 touchdowns, all rushing. He had a career high 216 yards in Clemson's win over Georgia Tech. Spiller, a sophomore from Lake Butler, FL, was a first-team freshman All-American last year when he gained 938 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. His 7.3 yards per carry figure was fourth best in the nation and best by an ACC player since Warrick Dunn had a 7.5 average for Florida State in 1995.

Davis and Spiller combined for 2125 rushing yards and a 6.4 average to go with 27 touchdowns last season. It was the most total rushing yards by two running backs on the same Clemson team. The two averaged 163.5 rushing yards per game, the third best combination in college football in 2006. " -http://www.clemsontigers.com

"CLEMSON, S.C. -- The holders of nearly two in every five Clemson season tickets will have to increase their donations before the 2008 football season or lose their seats.

Clemson and its booster group, IPTAY, outlined a "Seat Equity Plan" they say is necessary to fund scholarships and to reward "those who've been a little more generous," said Bill D'Andrea, the school's senior associate athletic director for external affairs.

The plan means people who have bought about 37.1 percent of current season tickets would have to up their IPTAY donation levels to keep their spots, according to an athletic department study.

D'Andrea said the change would increase revenue by as much as $3 million. But "our objective has never been to raise money," he said.

D'Andrea acknowledged that may be a hard sell with some longtime donors who feel "they've been loyal, sitting here in the rain and in the snow when we were two-and-nine.""

Packman, a clemson alum, tore them a new one a few days ago for this guy basically lying to everyone.

yeah Clemson football is easy to predict.

A promising start, a bit of national recognition, followed by a horrible end to the season and the fans left disappointed

Yeah sure. You could have lost your last seven games including horribly embarassing losses to UNC and ECU

Also no one on this board should be rooting for Clempson.

I'll never understand State fans who like big conference rivals too. That makes zero sense.

Yeah, I like UConn, that's no secret... but that is NOTHING like State fans being Clemson (I mean for fucks sake we have a rivalry game with them) fans or worse still, Duke fans...

Hay guyz! I'm a big UT fan but I also really love the Gators!! roffle!
