Hey, im running a IBM T60p with t2600 core duo, 256mb video card and 2gb of ram. My laptop temps are really high though. I use "speedfan" to check the temps. And for running at idle the core 0 and core 1 temps are around 130F, but as soon as i put any type of load on it, they shoot up to 155-185F range. The hdd temp is regularly under 100F so i dont worry bout it. then it shows up with two more temp readings that say "temp1 and temp2" and they both read about 5-10F cooler then the core temps normally. but the temp1 temp2 core0 core1 readings are really high in my opinion. I have blown out the cooling fins, have a cooling pad sittin under it and they are still high? They have been like this since i got the laptop, so are the other T60s out there doin the same thing or is it just mine?

I suggest you post your question on http://forum.thinkpads.com. Running hot is not an issue I've personally run into with the T60 series. I have one myself. And I work on a lot of ThinkPads. Make sure you have all the latest BIOS updates.

If all else fails, call up Lenovo customer service and maybe they'll let you send it back.
