I loved that game. It didnt make sense because it wasnt originally developed as a Mario brothers game I remember it as one of the coolest games ever.

I actually played SMB2 before I did the original and I thought the original was weird. But now that I think about it... two Italian plumbers running through a kingdom eating mushrooms and doubling in size, shooting fire underwater, warping through pipes, and killing walking mushrooms with turtle shells all in order to rescue a princess that was kidnapped by a giant fire breathing turtle doesn't sound too sane.

Well of course dude, SMB2 wasn't really a Mario game....it was a jap. game called Doki Doki panic...they just slapped mario graphics on it and called in SMB2. It was kind of like an Arabian themed thing.




Real SMB2 looks like SMB1, just a shitload harder and at the time our market was too young for them to kill us b/c we were noobs.
