Praise duly given.

I've heard their new album is bangin', but haven't had a chance to listen yet (has it released/leaked?)

i thought about making this thread last week. PS i wonder if mr william goldsmith ever regrets quitting FF right before recording this album

pretty awesome for the FF bassist to be a part of both sunny day real estate and the foo fighters tho. theres so much musical history between the members of the foo fighters.

Hey, Johnny Park! > My Poor Brain

love the way Park "fades" into Brain, especially cause they are very different songs.

And I heard one of the songs from the new album on the Stern Show yesterday and it was pretty rockin.

^^ their last album? the double (In Your Honor) or the live one (Skin and Bones)?

because if it's In Your Honor, i'll say that really liked he first cd, but the second one didn't get much listening from me...

not their best work, but i liked it

[Edited on September 26, 2007 at 2:17 PM. Reason : iv'e been meaning to pull out Foo Fighers for a while now, Dave Grohl's musical masterbation]

^^ i love a lot of 'those' type of bands from that era:

sunny day
texas is the reason
the promise ring
mineral

i still give a lot of them frequent listens, especially on drives back to raleigh from SC most weekends.

in other news, 3 of the original members (jeremy-vocals, and the 2 guys that originally joined the foo fighters) recorded an album together 5 years ago under the name "The Fire Theft". its pretty decent.

^^hahahah "Hero" was our graduation song, man!

^TITR's singer's voice kinda unnerves me, that they were pretty fun.

Dave Grohl is the drummer for Queens of the Stone Age too, isn't he?

btw, Everlong still remains as my absolute favorite Foo Fighters song ever.

I submit that FF are one of best, if not the best, unplugged bands around. I absolutely love it when they go unplugged.

Agreed.

But The Colour and The Shape is a greater album. Top 10 of the 90's I'd say, and Everlong is definitely my favorite FF song. By a mile.

No way it's even close to Top 10 of the '90s, but it's still really goddamn good.
