I've been looking at various wedding chapels in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I was wondering if anyone on here had experience with a particular chapel or any suggestions.
Thanks. 9/29/2007 3:28:21 PM |

I'm actually looking for a place for a small wedding- maybe a few family members. I don't want it to be right on the highway or any main road. I'd love to have it in a nice chapel. 9/29/2007 3:53:28 PM |

i had a relative that had theirs at some small chapel in the NC mountains and then the reception was in a converted barn that hosts a bunch of parties. I'll ask my mom tomorrow where that was. 9/29/2007 9:18:26 PM |

thanks!
I'm not planning a reception- just the wedding. I'd save the reception for when I come back home so I could invite all the family and friends that aren't coming to the wedding. That way I'd still get gifts from them! haha! 9/29/2007 9:29:51 PM |

My sister got married outside of Gordonville, TN last year (somewhere off 40.)
She got married at Butterfly Hollow Farm (http://butterflyhollowfarm.com/).
The place was cute but not sickeningly romantic. The couple who runs it also take pictures, make the cake, and will help the guests find shit to do (my sister and her husband toured the Jack Daniels distillery while there, and went on horseback rides).
My partner and I took the dog, went camping, hiked, and stopped in Asheville on the way back, plenty of stuff for guests to do along the way.
Only drawbacks to the wedding were lack of decent restaurants in the area, as this was about an hour's drive from Nashville. So we had her reception at some steakhouse in town. The vegetarian options for me were oily pasta, the bar didn't know what a Sex on the Beach was, and they packed us into their "banquet room" (20 people in a bedroom-sized partition.) 9/29/2007 9:53:31 PM |

this one is near my home in SC, but IMO it's the "prettiest place" (pun) to have a wedding

I had a friend that got married at some wedding chapel in Townsend Tn which is right outside Pidgeon Fordge and Gatlinburg and it was real nice. Not so much traffic and real relaxing. 10/2/2007 10:28:05 AM |
