I'm studying for this right now and I am hoping for a miracle in retaining all of this info! How are people studying for this? I know that he mentioned to really know the notes prior to reviewing old homework problems. I'm just finding that it's difficult to keep some of this stuff straight. 9/30/2007 1:07:32 PM |

So, I take it this is a bad free elective to take during your last semester?

^ definitely not, unless you enjoy things like poking your eyes out with hot knives! At least the teacher is good, I just don't like the subject. 10/1/2007 1:49:47 PM |

I'm in the library cramming right now, 7 chapters of stuff I don't know.
I read the book too... I know he said the book is good and all, but I cannot retain any of the info because it rambles too much.
I was never a fan of multiple choice questions in an ACC course either too... as long as I get a B in the class, I'll be happy. 10/1/2007 5:36:38 PM |

that multiple choice section was the most random clusterfuck of questions...the free response was cake but the mc more than made up for that
and hollister, stay the hell away from this class. if you want a free elective, take something like astronomy 10/2/2007 1:21:59 PM |

Just happy it's over, it wasn't too bad, though I suppose it's gonna get 20x harder as the entire exam was conceptual and we haven't even done an audit yet.
Yeah, elective wise, avoid all courses with ACC and 300+. If you just want an easy A, bees and bee keeping. There's a reason every athlete takes that class (no offense to them, but it's the truth). 10/2/2007 5:16:58 PM |

Thanks for the info. I don't need any more hours to graduate, but am interviewing for some IT audit jobs that require more accounting hours than I have, so I'm going to take some credit-only. The description of 450 sounded relevant to what I would actually be doing, moreso than the 300 classes.
I've heard good things about 440. 10/2/2007 6:47:50 PM |

well said, Forte. I was sweating the idea of the essay questions and they turned out to be the not-so-difficult ones. On some of the MC questions, I could narrow the answers down to two, but it became somewhat of a toss-up as to which one was the "most correct." I'm glad that's over. 10/3/2007 12:02:18 PM |
