I need to replace a monitor for a Inspiron 6000, I've posted in the classifieds as well.

And if anyone knows, can you replace a certain model laptop with another model? It needs to be 15", didn't know if any 15" laptop monitor would work.

I've replaced that panel in two different machines (due to blunt force on them, not defects)...the 1280x800 I think...about $130 off e-bay

I did check ebay first, but I guess I didn't search right.

Does anyone know the answer to my first question though? And another question, do you have to keep the same resolution monitor when replacing?

Uh, as long as your graphics card supports the higher resolution ... but we can't answer that unless you tell us what you have.
