Beware this scam is going on in Raleigh. I was approached at the Wendy's on Western Blvd with the claim that these guys who installed speaker systems went to the warehouse and were given an extra set of home theater speakers. They even had a magazine with the speaker system in it that said they retailed from over $3000. They continued to say they would let them go for a steal. Do Not Be Fooled. The speakers look impressive but they are in fact cheap knock offs from China.

"I got a crazy question for you..."

I've been approached the same way buy a couple guys in Philly and then again, like 3 days later, in Fayetteville.

^^ I worked in retail and people would come in asking how to hook them up (no digital ins only a single multichannel input for surround sound). I would try to tell them it was a scam, and they should search on google for it and they'd say they sound great they just need some splitters to make the rear channels work. Ha!

I even had one guy go as far as buying a $500 Denon DVD player with a built in DD decoder (so it had multi channel outputs) to make the surround sound work.
