Who can list the quadratic equation off the top of their head correctly without looking it up???

You meant: quadratic formula OR EQUIVALENTLY, the solution to a quadratic equation.

Quadratic Equation (general form): ax^2 + bx + c = 0.

and for those who tried to derive it, you have to know how to complete the square, which almost no one understands/knows/remembers (among non-math majors).
