The closest my high school spanish teacher could think of to "Ian" was "Ivan"Unfortunately, the Spanish pronounciation of Ivan is more or less "Yvonne"I did not find this as hillarious as did my classmates over the course of the FOUR FUCKING YEARS I had to use that name in class

My name was Slavelle (rhymes with Latrell) but everyone calls me Slave so in Spanish class I was Esclavo.Had a nice ring to it.

10/3/2007 5:29:22 PM
Well my name was Slavelle up till I was 16 when I changed it.But all my friends and everyone I knew just called me Slave.I changed it because I want to go into business and wanted less of a stereotypical black name for my future prospects. But most people still call me Slave. Its cool most of the time, but white people always hesitate to call me that even after I tell them its OK lol.
10/3/2007 5:31:36 PM
that's kind of cruel for black parents to name their child slavelle
