How are the controls?

I've been wanting to get this because I'm a huge LOZ fan but there are just so many games that are/have been released between September and December that I don't think I'll have time for it.

I love this game so far..the only problem I have with the controls is doing a roll...that fucking took me 15 minutes longer than it should have

Does this mean that there are a lot of sit and wait for 10 minutes while Link travels clear across the map to get a pointless map that will show him the location of an object that is 10 minutes away. Then the object must be taken to some guy that is right next to where the map was found. And then the guy tells you to go dig in the most remote location of the map... repeated 9 times to pad out 40 hours of gameplay.

i really loved the controls on this until i got to the volleyball fight on the ghost ship.... took a lot longer than it should have because it wouldn't always swing the sword right. other than that i'm still loving this game, pimping out my ride as we speak.

I keep seeing small, short holes in walls (like in the Ocean King Temple) and I can't figure out what they are. I can't crawl through them, bomb them or boomerang through them. I just got the map to the southeast, so at this point in the game should I know what those damn holes are?

I played this game a little last night to see how it worked out with the touch screen and it was actually pretty cool. I would definitely prefer to use the d-pad and the buttons, but I like how they set it up with the touch screen, and it takes not time to get used to it. I'm probably going to pick this game up pretty soon.

i've got the phantom sword and i'm just about to go fight bellum. i've got all the power gems but finding all the courage and wisdom jems is a little more pain in the ass. i've also pimped out my boat demon style, which i'm really liking.
