Sucks. I had to work Saturday, but it didn't last that long because everyone just got in early and buckled down, finishing in a few hours.

I normally don't work on weekends, but I'm giving a big presentation on Tuesday, and need to organize my findings and finish up my slides.

its kinda nice. it's real quiet here, no one but me on this floor. I took a nice dump and no one was here to bother me plus the girlfriend isn't flying back in until tonight, so it's no big deal.

my new job I can do the 10hr 4 day thing, I can start anytime between 6am-9:30am or I can do the standard 8hrs Mon-Fri(still can start anytime during those hrs)...I have a real job so I dont have to work weekends...lol

government jobs.... they get lots of flexibility on their times and gets lots of vacation. i heard the pay isn't as good. oh well, good for you roddy, hope it works out well for you. do you have to relocate anywhere?

im still here at work, i got lots done

i got the numbers crunched and organized, now I'm passing the data through some scripts to generate my graphics in tecplot, and I'm waiting for that to be done in order to compile my latex document.

From there, all I have to do is put the finishing touches on my keynote presentation slides

3 more hours and I should be done

I have to relocate, will be making over 55K, after a year 65k, then we have steps and annual increases....if I want to get into a lead role I can go up to 75k(money isnt everything to me, security and career growth is). The federal retirement is kick ass(Thirft Savings Plan). To go up in the fed gov you have to be very mobile, plan on settling down when I am 40ish. I should be where I want to be in my career at that time.

Oh yeah, holidays, we are off for Columbus Day
