i've got this 67 ss with a 350. numbers dont match, it runs, but the transmission's got a busted hurst shifter, and overall needs a lot of work.

i'm a chick who doesnt know a lot about cars, but really want to learn. so basically i just want to make this thing run well and handle pretty good for an old muscle car (original parts aren't important to me). any suggestions on new components i could use to retrofit the car to make her fast and quick handling?

thanks for the advice

google is your friend. 1st gen. camaros are easily top 5 in most popular cars to restore. stock and aftermarket parts are plentiful and TONS of companies make them.

i think you're going to have to be a little more specific in your goals for the car before we can really help much. otherwise, we'd be typing for pages about all the different options/directions you could go with.

it sounds like you probably are looking for somewhat of a pro touring type build, but i don't know...

Fix whatever doesn't work (starting with that shifter) first and go from there. There are tons of suspension/brake/tire options for that car that will make all the difference in the world when it comes to handling. It's a 350, so there are thousands of parts out there depending on what it needs and how much power you want to make. It's all $$$ though.
