EVERY TIME Reggie Bush got the ball, the caption had an exclamation point. I can only imagine it was like that Falcons-Panthers game in '03 when Vick returned from his leg injury...

Seems to me like the thread is missing the point. The best players in sports(brady, peyton, jordan, lebron) are going to get all the media attention, it isn't really ass kissing when you're the best, or get commercials. I'd expect the media to pay these players a lot of attention.

I'd think it is more players that aren't really that good but get a lot of media coverage when they really suck ass. Or guys that keep fucking up, but the media treats them like they never do wrong.

Andy Roddick is someone who comes to mind, dude sucks hasn't won anything in a while and is always loved by the media. Jason Sehorn when he played falls into this catagory of an ass-kissed athlete by the media.
