ok, so i know this was touched upon in the schedule thread, but this pisses me off everytime i think about it

can someone please explain to me why our men's bball team is going to greenville?

did the state legislature get bored again or something?

whats next, are we going to start traveling to asheville? charlotte? wilmington?

we are playing presbyterian this year, maybe we should do a home and home!

seriously though, can someone give one good reason why an acc program would travel to a non-factor team in a non-factor conference w/ stadium smaller than reynolds and cameron indoor?

from my understanding it has nothing to do w/ the state leg and everything to do w/ lee fowler being mediocre at his job.

We also play NC Central...

Our OOC schedule this year is the weakest I can remember.

i'm sure they would, that is why they play the big teams so they can get money and become a big team and stop having to play away games all the time

We should roll up in the bitch in force and rule on their fans. The only thing that would stop me is I wouldn't want people thinking we were there because we were their rivals or something.

Apparently our fans will get a large amount of tickets to this game (i know not large to us, but it will result in like 30% of the place in red iirc).

We really do need to get on this and become a great traveling fanbase for basketball as well. Get out there and tailgate for the home and away games. Show other fanbases that you can tailgate for basketball games as well. I remember a couple of years ago when I was still in college I came back to Charlotte for a weekend and Indiana had a game at Charlotte. I had forgotten about it, and I went into the Harris Teeter on Highway 49 across from UNCC's campus and saw a fair amount of Indiana fans in there. I was like wow, they've got some great fans for them to have traveled all the way from Indiana just for a game against UNCC. One of the fans had an Indiana letterman style jacket with all the accomplishments of the program (5 National Championships, 8 Final Fours, 20 Conference Championships, etc.) sewn on the back. It was kind of cool and let fans of other programs know what's up.

if funds provide, i'm planning on going to tons of away games this year. travelled plenty for football, but not for basketball. i can finally say i'm excited enough about it where it would be well worth it.

Away games will have red. I will see how many I can make. As for the tailgating if that lot is open next to the wendys and gas station that they randomly closed for football but don't for hockey then we always get up there at 5PM for a 7PM game. Beers in hand. GO PACK!

at the ECU football game they brought their men's and women's bball team out on the field to recognize them, and the applause was mediocre at best. Then the announcer explained that you could buy men & women's season tickets for $200 total. i LoLed

ha. ECU basketball will be lucky to get more wins than the football team. they are awful.

they got rid of Stokes, so maybe they can do something.

state wins by 40+
