I know this is old... But I couldn't believe what they said about it...
It has over 1001 hp, 16 cylinders!, and 10 radiators. It can reach 253mph!
The guy said that is only takes like 300hp to get to the first 150 mph and then said once you reach that fast, there is some force against the car and it takes another 700hp to get the last 100 mph!
I mean besides its sleek look, I couldn't imagine going 250mph in a car! I think its just awesome to reach 150 on my bike!

Yayron for the Veyron.
Wind resistance is exponential with velocity, and that's why it takes so much horsepower. There are a bunch of other free-flow fluid dynamics explanations, but we all want to stay awake here. 10/23/2007 12:55:20 PM |

You guys can probably give exact figures on this, but I've read that after around 215+ mph, the car is traveling too fast for the air to just "flow" around the car. Instead, the air starts to act as a wall, and the faster you go, the harder it is for the air to move out the way. That's why a substantial amount of power is required.10/24/2007 12:36:05 PM |

Any car sold in the US has to run on at least 91 octane, and I'm sure that applies to motorcycles as well.10/24/2007 1:03:36 PM |
