a little more than half way through

started last thursday 18th

Thursday - Lars and the Real Girl
Friday - 30 Days of Night
Saturday - Gone Baby Gone
Sunday - Into the Wild
Monday - The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Tuesday - Rendition
Wednesday - Things We Lost in the Fire
still to come
Thursday - Dan in Real Life
Friday - Saw 4

Saturday .... no movie. Thank God.

A lot of good movies too, actually. They were all pretty good. Things We Lost in the Fire was easily my least favorite. I'm sure Dan in Real Life is going to be ok/good... and Saw 4.. You never know with those.

I watch too many movies. My record for most watched at theaters is Superbad (5 times)

Anybody else have stupid marathons like this?

it was one of those movies that i saw with different friends .... I completely agree with your opinion though.

The 4th and 5th time was a bit much for me.

Well, I never thought I would get a chance to legitimately share this story...

Back in high school, an acquaintance of mine saw the first X-men move on opening weekend. As could be expected from what I assume was an X-men fanboy, he saw it as soon as he possibly could, which in Boone meant that he watched it at noon on Friday. Ok, I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I get that. But, he then proceeded to watch it three more times that day.

He watched the original X-men four times on opening day. I mean, wow, the movie wasn't even that good, and he enjoyed it enough to spend 20 to 30 dollars on movie tickets that day. Like, when I watched it on DVD, I remember getting bored once or twice. Oh well, some people must really like the X-men...

But the story continues. On Saturday he watched the X-men four more times in the theater, and on Sunday, he watched it four more times in the theater...

By Sunday, he told me he was able to recite the entire script with the characters. I don't know what strange infatuation he had with the movie that brought him to watch it that many times in the theater. I don't think there's any movie that I could watch 12 times in one weekend.

short version: My friend watched the original X-men movie 12 times on opening weekend

I hope I'm wrong, but I think he actually paid for all twelve showings. That's 60 to 90 dollars in tickets alone, plus whatever he got at the concession stands.

Instead of talking shit about your friend on the internet, you should be setting up an intervention with family and friends.

He has serious problems.

it was good...but not great.

thought it seemed kinda long and slow in some parts, but it does do a good job building tension.

Casey Afflek was even better in this than Gone Baby Gone

Overall I'd say I'm pretty happy I didn't pay for this movie...
Worth a rental though

There was a girl in my 6th grade class that had a Leonardo DiCaprio obsession. I think she ended up seeing Titanic 30+ times in theatres. Not sure how long of a time span that was but still, it couldn't have been in theatre more than 3 months maybe?

^is right...

Titanic spent like 7 or 8 months in theaters...
just one of the records that movie holds

There's this insane russell crowe fan that watches all of his movies on average about 10 times. She watched Gladiator over 50 times. I don't even think they charged her after the 20th time or so...

That's not really a record.

my Dad loves shipwreck stuff, especially the Titanic, so he saw that movie a lot

I saw 2 movies in one night, we saw some horror/action movie then changed rooms to see The Marine (the best movie ever), not paying for new tickets of course. We would've seen more but that was enough for us.

Damn, I'm hungry for popcorn now.

i didn't think it was anything special either. It was more like a lower-tier John grisham adaptation.
