Hawaii is ranked 14 in the new BCS ranking that came out today, jumping 2 sports. They still have games against Fresno State, Neveda, Boise State, and Washington left. If they finish in the top 12, they are guaranteed a spot in one of the BCS bowls. At this rate, they could very well do that.

Their toughest game left this year is against Boise State and an overlooked Washington team; but they play them both at home where they post a very high winning %. It is very likely that if Hawaii run the table, they could go to a BCS bowl.

Right now, they are likely to go to either the Sugar or the Fiesta. Possible opponents are Georgia, LSU, Oklahoma.

How well will their pass first pass always offense perform against the powerhouse programs? Their defense is also shaky but have a solid secondary.

any decent defense will kill you if you are one dimensional

An overlooked Washington Team? With the exception of Arizona and USC game, they have been blown the fuck out every weekend.

[Edited on October 28, 2007 at 10:37 PM. Reason : They did beat Boise State, but that was early in the season]

I'd love to see Hawaii play a good team just cause I'd like to see the likes of LSU or Ohio State play against their run and shoot. It would be a fun game to watch.

But it won't happen.

All it takes is an off day to produce 4 INTs and really screw things up.

Just ask Mr. Harrell.

yeah, the Neveda-Boise game was 69-67 in 4 OT, expect the same with the Hawaii -Boise game as both teams cannt play defense that well to defend each other effectively.

I think Colt Brennan is better than Graham Harrell but then again Brennan had 5 picks against Idaho and didn't do that well against San Jose State either.

It be will interesting to see if they can beat(outscore) Nevada's pistol offense and stop Boise State's Ian Johnson.

Hawaii just beat Boise State last night, Colt Brennan threw for 5 TDs and close to 500 yards.

Last game left is Washington with its stud QB Locker, but it is at home in Hawaii and Hawaii should be able to win and advance to a BCS bowl.

As it stands, Hawaii will most liklely play the SEC champion in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. The SEC champion being either LSU or Tennesse.
