If you could be guaranteed one game to win a year, the UNC game would be the one. Records and talent don't matter, if we win the turnover battle, we will win this game. UNC's RB's aren't even close to Miami's running game and their defense doesn't have half the team speed Miami's D has. But, stats and current standings don't matter when we play UNC.

The D line has to do better than they did today or else UNC's QB won't turn it over like we all expect and hope he does.

Evans need to calm the fuck down and make smart throws. He was extremely inaccurate today and was lucky at least 3 of his passes weren't picks.

I don't have a good feeling about this one. I hope the hell we can come down after the Miami loss and don't play with the big heads. I really wanted UNX to come in off of a loss to so they could be deflated as hell.
I seriously had a nightmare about this game last night . 11 out of the last 14. In how many of those have we had the better team and been favored to win? From 98 on I'd believe almost all of them. Despite having Torry Holt (seemed like the only play we ran for anything was a flankers screen) on a decent team that year we got waxed in charlotte. then the next year we lose to a damn thrid string tb @ the qb position when coleman is stopped at the 1 foot line. in 01' Phil and Co. are held to a measly 9 points. Our lowest point output during his entire 4 years. Then obviously the debacle that has been the past 3 years. They still love to talk shit about TA at the goal-line. Jim Knight handed that game to them. He was the guy in the mid-nineties that had the heart attack @ Kenan and of course they miraculously saved his life over there. He felt indebted to them. Then the year after that, I thought we would come out to prove a point. Do we? HELL NO! Worst sequence and clock management I've ever seen to end a half. We don't use time outs, the sidelines, or spike the damn ball. We don't get off a field goal. NOTHING. Then we actually build a 10 (or 11) point lead and can't hold on to it. Derrick Morris shoves one of his coaches on the sideline. Then like skokiaan says, we got the ball run down our throats by a nobody. Last year, I ain't even gonna touch that...
I hope like hell we can pull this out and at least put a temporary end to the misery b/c if not THEY have a decent shot at making a bowl and that's the last thing I wanna think about. They'll really be suckin butch off then!

That is too funny. Rarely is this game a blowout. Also Tate better than the #2 All-Time ACC Return Man is laughable. While a person that hasn't watched State football too much this year would probably say Barth is better than Hauschka, they must not realize that Hauschka has only missed one FG all year, and is perfect on extra points. Until the Miami game he was the only kicker in Division I-A (FBS) to be perfect on both field goals and extra points. So I'd say the kickers are at least even, with State having the clear edge on the return game. Blackman was crucial in getting us in pretty good starting field position a few times yesterday. This is always a weird rivalry game where anything can happen.

YOU ALL NEED TO BRING IT FOR MAJOR TOM AND THESE SENIORS THAT HAVE NEVER BEAT UNC! SHOW UP EARLY AND BE LOUD! THIS GAME IS HUGE FOR RECRUITING IN OUR STATE! WE NEED TO PROVE WHY WE HAVE THE BEST ATMOSPHERE AND WILL BE THE BEST PROGRAM IN THE STATE FOR A LONG TIME!

This and the Maryland game are the only two times when I don't mind if our fans are rude and intimidating to opposing fans. Show the Tar Heel fans how you are supposed to tailgate. Make them envious of our perfect tailgating setup.
