Man, i haven't been this pissed off about a car commercial since Volkswagen used "Pink Moon" to sell fucking cabriolets (and they used this same piece of music earlier this year grr)

I don't watch a lot of TV, so i don't know how old this commercial really is, but last night i saw this nike commercial which features a clip from great film soundtrack. for those of you who don't know, movie scores are one of the last places that new classical music really shines. Commercials piss me off with their little clips of awesome songs that they take out of context and play to death. Lebron james is totally ruining this for me

It's interesting to note that commercials, tv, and movies have better, more interesting, fresher music than what you would ever hear on the radio.

this is exactly why wilco licensed sky blue sky to vw. i thought it was a good move, even though personally i heard that album anyway b/c wilco is the fucking heat.

Haha. Busch Light just used "The Mountains Win Again" by Blues Traveler in one of their commercials because the folks drinking Busch were chilling in the mountains. Then at the end of the commercial the narrator guy says something like "Busch Light, head for the mountains of busch." Lol. Beer companies and their suggestive advertising.

Of course it sucks for a band to be come over-sensationalized. I used to be able to go to hardcore and metal shows for $5, now they cost upwards of $25. You used to be in a small venue where you can be up front, hang out with the guys, etc. Now you have to sit in a chair 100 yards away.
