I've got a 2 monitors and a tv (via s-video) connected to my video card and I was wondering if there was a way to have all 3 active. it'll only let me do my primary plus one other at a time.

i'm wondering if there is a way to do this without using another video card

Your video card can probably only handle 2 outputs. Grab a cheap pci video card and you'll be able to do 4.

ballin, i've got 2 extra gpus laying around, i just didn't know if i had to use them

in doing so, would i be able to have 4 extended desktops or would they have to be all clones? or some mixture of the two?

you can definitely have 3 desktops, possibly 4 depending on the pci card

^Yeah depending on the card you can probably have 4 desktops. Most newer video cards are capable of 2 outputs, dvi/dvi, or vga/dvi.
