over on IC, there are crazy amounts of threads of holes trying to convince themselves that the game doesn't matter in the long run. bunch of panzies.

well . . . it's cause they're better off staying home so that Bitch and his staff can concentrate on recruiting. Because look at the class he brought in last year with a limited amount of time, so think what he will do this year.

ftw...

if not... it won't matter, that game was won by fucking great coaching, not by players...

coaching won it for us, and believe it or not players almost BLEW it for us

Which one DeAndre Morgan?

I know you are going to say Evans because you have a mancrush on Beck.

It's almost like some of you can't admit that Evans is doing well and want him to fail.

he has been doing better . . . but that doesn't change the fact that 2 pic 6's nearly cost the game

Morgan's blown coverage getting burnt really badly on that trick play took all of the momentum away from us as well. Don't see people blabbering about that either.

And if you blame the 2nd pick on Evans.....then you have problems. It hit Bedics right in the hands and UNC luckily had a guy right behind the play for an easy INT return.

I'd say Evans, Bible, and DeAndre all had a little to do with the score being so close. In neither one of those situations where ints were thrown, should we have been passing. The first pass was just a very poor throw by evans over stone's head. The throw to Bedics was also a bad decision with a defender right on his back. And well, DeAndre just got fooled and absolutely toasted.

And don't forget two years ago when we traveled to wake forest, jay davis threw more touchdown passes to wake than to his own team.

I don't want to see a repeat of that this year and Evans' tendency to throw pick 6s at the worst possible times worries me deeply.

But Evans is the best we have right now and he has been improving a lot, so maybe this season will be different. It's just my instincts as a State fan that the bubble is going to burst just as bowl hopes start to re-emerge.

more than half of their points came directly from evans.

i just want to see a quarterback w/ some potential to be better than two (or maybe even more!) other qbs in the acc. beck is the only one of these we have, imo (aside from russell wilson, who i would love to see get some time).

the turnaround has been great, don't get me wrong. i'm really impressed w/ TOB and the rest of this staff (i have been since they got here, truthfully), but it's hard to watch evans.

you only say he's doing "well" b/c we're winning. if he had the exact same line and we lost, you wouldn't even come close to calling it a decent game on his part. the TEAM is doing well, evans is not.

and deandre morgan is a freshman and has a lot of potential, don't get on his case.

Clearly watching Beck throw pick after pick is better.

one of the new recruits is the #4 prospect.

iirc he's an excellent QB, just needs to put on some weight.

NO WAI

dem wuffies can have the W

all not going to a bowl means is butch mufuckin davis can have more time to recruit. BEST COACH AND REECROOTER EVAAAR!JUAN!!!1
b/c going to a bowl that isn't BCS doesn't mean shit right? right? and losing to a team that "isn't your rival" doesn't even matter right? b/c we'll beat our real rival, duke, to end the season on a high note. 4-8 FTW!!!! that's what attracts recruits!! that and the possibility of the coach leaving. i mean, he would be leaving for a higher profile job, so coaching at UNC must have been a good thing!!

give me a fucking break. IC posters are the dumbest of the UNC fans. i've met tarhole fans while doing community service with my church in the trailer parks of Appalachia with more sense.

^ and you fuckers are getting off the subject. take it to a different thread. or save it for pillow chat.

hanging on to every word? who here is doing that?

there's actual discussion on IC that UNC is better off by losing the state game and having "more time to recruit." and by actual discussion, i mean people on there believe that shit like we thought rick barnes, then john calipari was coming here.

this isn't some BS idea by one dude - its a serious discussion. even the old folks on PP are laughing their asses off. and those guys have NO sense of humor. hell there is even a thead on packpride about "UNC Excuses" and this losing the game to "escape a crappy bowl" for better recruiting" idea is one of the best ones yet.

they are so fucked in the head. Going to a bowl game is much better for recruiting than not going to a bowl game. They aren't allowed to talk to recruits during the bowl period if my memory serves me correctly. fucking idiots.

packboozie,
Morgan's blown coverage cost us 7 points.
Evan's interceptions cost us a minimum of 14 points and up to 28 points since both of those ints came when we were in scoring position.

Of course you're just trolling, so...

that was a terrible pass from <10 yards away and not to mention an ill advised throw as he was double covered.....

how again is that NOT evans fault?

haha that double covered player, it still cracks me up, was the fullback. why would you throw it to a double covered fullback, there would have to be someone else on the field single covered or open at least.

not to mention the pass was high and maybe 2-3 yds beyond the line of scrimmage on a 3rd and 8.

they probably think that we did that just to push into them and rub it in their faces but that's how the band always ends halftime shows

Halftime is 20 minutes. It doesn't take that long to get down the sidelines. They knew where they needed to go after getting off the field. It's their own damn fault if they couldn't get off the sidelines and start filing back into the stands before our band came off the field.
