O'Brien had been actively pursuing other coaching jobs well before meeting Chuck and the Pack last year. Honestly the fact that anyone believes that Evans is the reason Chuck got fired should have their heads examined. The very notion is so fucking stupid makes my head hurt. Nothing short of the second coming of Philip Rivers could have saved Chuck from being canned, and even that might not have done it.

Evans is mediocre. The team was mediocre, and it was steadily getting worse. We don't even have the max number of scholarships allowed for a Div. 1 school this year. Chuck said too many stupid things to the media. We couldn't beat Carolina. We couldn't put together a decent offense with a QB not named Philip Rivers. Chuck got himself fired. O'Brien wanted out of BC. Period.

Without Evans... we don't get O'Brien we're even worse than we were last year, and we're out of the bowl picture this year
