On a new laptop. What are the pros and cons?

I have glossy on my laptop. It looks nice, but it can glare very badly.

If you're not constantly working in bright areas, glossy is fine. I just got a new laptop with a glossy screen and I really like it.

Glossy is fine for a desktop monitor, but for a laptop I suggest getting matte. It's nearly impossible to use a glossy LCD in bright light. Glossy does seem to look a little bit nicer, but it doesn't really improve anything beyond an aesthetic feel.

What's the one that is as bad as looking into a mirror? Definitely don't go with that one.

Ah yes, mirrored screens. Not sure why they're so popular.
