After the pitiful performance today.....shutout at home for the first time in 12 years. Thanks TOB and Pick 6. Lets see if we can improve to 6-6 next year.

It's alright, only a couple thousand will venture down to Jacksonville. It'll look worse than the Wake Forest- Georgia Tech game. And just like you can't make a line without two points, you can't judge progress without a couple or a few seasons.....corny...

Why all the hate? Do you think it's acceptable to lose at home by 37? O'Brien has set his mark at 5-7. We should expect 5 or more wins every year from here on out. However, I would like to see 6 wins next year and a bowl trip. If not, expect his seat to get warm by year 3.

this is a quote from Tom Osborne about the nebraska coach search
Quote :
"You want somebody that knows football and has a good work ethic. You want somebody that can motivate. Some people know football, but they really don't get people to play hard for them. Again, I'm not saying that's the case [with the previous staff]. But you've got to get players to play hard."

i'm not saying i'm judging TOB after one game or even one year, but this quote reminded me a lot of the maryland game. how do you go into the last game of the year with a bowl bid on the line, at home and it's senior day and you get shut out and humiliated by a mediocre maryland team. i really hope next year shows great improvements

I agree, a crappy way to end the season, but we did exceed all the "experts" expectations, and probably most of the [reasonable] fans' expectations. I'm very excited about our future under TOB, and definitely think we made the right decision.

On a similar note, I think Bowens is going to be a superstar if/when we get a decent QB, hopefully next year.

I kind of disagree, the defense came out on fire...they were flying around, making big plays, really getting after it. Offense came out looking half decent until the interception. Defense made another big play after that but as the offense couldn't do anything it took a lot out of the D. It seemed like they came out excited and ready to play, personel just didn't get it done in certain areas.

we've blamed the hell out of every QB we've had since Rivers...most of the time justifiably.

however, i think it comes down to the o-line playing lights out. when they've played well, they've made Evans look like a genius.

this game it seems the o-line had too much tryptophan in their system and couldn't block anything.

Vermiglio and Crouch seem to do pretty well most of the time. The bottom line is that, for the most part, the linemen don't seem to have the desire to go out and punish someone. They may not have all been perfect or not all NFL-starters, but Colmer, Paulson, Harris, Locklear, etc all seemed like they wanted to make a statement.

^^^i know thats an old post......but even when the O-Line played well, evans was crap. SEE: UNC Game. Evans was decent the UNC game, but without Jamelle and the O-Line, he blows that game big time

noooo

redshirt glennon so he can learn a year and be better overall for the full four years.

plus we aren't gonna have a good defense until next year anyway so let them go hand in hand please.
