Duke...I'd lay a hundred dolla that I could pwn you on the track with a FWD car...well, as long as we were working with similar power, tune, and weight levels.

Shit, I might be willing to up the ante to 200 dolla.

I know right. Anyone who hates FWD needs to hop in a Hype-R for a few hot laps around the beltline.

I've never felt as comfortable after only a few minutes in the seat as I did behind one of those cars. No yaw control required.

Fancy ass wheels that cost more than the car.
Massive air cleaners on dinky little engines.
Stickers.
Those ricor light-up windshield sprayers.
Everything you've ever seen on king of the street.
Ghetto ass sound systems (break into my car, please).
All other appearance mods that unnecessarily take away from the original look of the car in a bad way (massive aluminum wings that don't match the car's color or style, tinted windows in a color/style that doesn't match the car at all (like the reflective color ones), most custom hoods, custom body kits, aftermarket ricor racing seats in cars that would fall apart if raced, etc)

Basically, wherever it's apparent somebody is drawing attention that they have a piece of shit and don't know how to spend their money, it's pretty useless...

there are a lot of great FWD runners.

im not gonna argue about this. yes RWD is more fun (thats pretty much the only argument that you magazine racers have).. i hope no one argues.

but dont be that guy that talks down FWD even though you dont want to experience it.

i can do anything you can in any of your cars.

rear end slides... y0, lets lift a bit off the gas, or ebrake it.

just as "cool" and "useful"

Keith you retarded shitdick. He's talking about fratastic roof racks on a ZJ or a WJ.

Not a goddamn ladder rack or whatever. Of course, there are always times that I think Joel is a retarded shitdick too. But then I'm sure you both feel that way about me at times.

I guess my point is that the chapparel 2f (one of the first to pioneer thesethings translated
the downforce directly to the rear suspension components where this civic
is just pushing down on the rear deck lid.

it is still producing downforce.

all wings are on rear deck lids nowadays

strut tower braces.

uh FWD cars can still benefit from rear down force. for example, create a tight rear so the car will rotate in slow tight corners, but its loose on high speed esses. possible fix: rear downforce.

I absolutely LOVE putting dual exhausts on an inline engine. For the project to turn out well, though, you really need a dual-dump manifold. All S-chassis Datsun Z cars (read: all straight sixes) have a divided exhaust manifold. And one of these cars has a distinct sound with true duals.

I've also done them on the Chevy truck straight sixes with the dual outlet manifolds.

Most of the Datsun headers on the market have 6-into-2 (3 pipes per outlet), and folks will either use the furnished collector (piece of shit), do true duals, or do like I did and custom fab a dual 2" into 3" collector.

I love doing exhaust work.

I stand corrected. Always good to learn something new.

Still stupid on a Civic though.

a single would still be at least as efficient if not more as long as the cross sectional area is the same as the two added together because it would allow the pulse pressure waves to equalize unless they're pre-turbo in which case you don't want to dissipate the pressure waves.
TWIN SCROLL FTW!

sometimes its done for ground clearance and or chassis space limitations... cause sometimes 1-3" won't fit but 2 2-1/8"s will.

but i agree with zx cool noises can be made with the pairs.

I did a single 3" exhaust after my downpipes (2", about 18" long) into a Flowbastard in the tunnel (about 2" below my driveshaft) all the way over the halfshaft/diff/suspension and out the back. That was one of the wickedest sixes I'd ever heard.

How about cutting your springs to make your car lower?

Depending on how you do it, it does work. Stiffens the spring rate, though, often unpredictably.

haha yeah, there was a guy with an escort wagon who cut his springs and ran pipes through everything in his exhaust... took a perfectly good commuter and turned it into the funniest thing on 4 wheels.

not sure if even the crappiest springs, say from ebay/autozone, are comparable to cut springs.

only vatos do that.
