I have one brand new, unopened Logitech MX Revolution for sale.
I bought three of these to use up my Dell store credit. I use it at home and one at work (AutoCAD). If you aren't familiar with the product, the new mouse wheels are great.
The standard one has a "frictionless" setting, so you can flick it and let it scroll, and the ability to switch into the "click" mode. How much, when, and the effects of the frictionless/click modes can be adjusted with the software. You can adjust it so that when you want to scroll a large amount: frictionless and small amount: clicky or vice-versa or not at all.
The second wheel is near the thumb, but unobtrusive. I don't know how to describe it other than its the opposite of the frictionless wheel. It works kind of like the laptop nipples of yore. It can be configured for anything, really.
I can't really say anything about battery life, as I haven't had to charge it yet.
I would recommend this to everyone except lefties. All the possible configurations in videogames boggles my mind. 11/29/2007 3:46:18 AM |

I forgot that the thumb mousewheel can be used as an alt-tab mode.
The MSRP for these is $99.99 Ebay is ~$60. 11/29/2007 3:53:55 AM |

using http://www.mstarmetro.net/~rlowens/uberOptions/
you can actually bind any button or wheel to any single keystroke or function you want. Great drivers for an even greater mouse. I might have to get another one if someone stole mine from my buddy's house on thanksgiving break.

The actual dongle that connects to the usb port is probably around an inch. The charger is separate and cannot be connected to the laptop. If you kept the mouse charged, you shouldn't have any problems.
evan is winning with $40, buyout is at $60. 11/29/2007 1:07:18 PM |

since "frictionless" is pretty much physically impossible within earth's atmosphere, let's keep the nitpicking to a minimum. dang.
