Fucking moron

I was in rush hour traffic last night merging on a ramp about a mile before the GWB. Stop and go 5 mph traffic. We were going from 2 to 1 lanes and I was slowly, SLOWLY merging in front of the semi. After a few minutes of being in front of him my car jerked forward. I'm like wtf, did I let the clutch out or something? Look in my mirror and the semi's like ON TOP of me. Then BAM....BAM. Fucker hit me two more times and was pushing me up the hill! I was blasting my horn and put my hazards on cause I had no idea what he's doing. Then I zipped up about 20 ft (blocked off the entire ramp) got out to look at the damage and then yelled at the truck driver. He didn't even get out, just rolled down the window. After I cursed him out he was like well I didn't see you. WTF, did he fell me?!

Anyway there was maybe 1-2 scratches on the bumper (add that to a lot more from living in NYC) so I just got back in and kept driving. But WTF, that was some weird shit. Good thing I wasn't driving something like a Porsche. IDIOT!

He probably couldn't see you at all if you were really close to his front bumper. If he saw you merge and then pulled up it's his fault, but if you merged right in front of him I can see how it can happen. They can't see things that are blocked by their hood and grill.

And no, he didn't feel anything when he was pushing the little teg down the road. I'm being serious.

I had something similar happen to me when I was towing a trailer one time. It was a little 4'x6' trailer behind my Jeep. Some idiot in an 18-wheeler pulled up behind me at a light. Then he forgot my trailer was there. When he decided to move closer to my Jeep he started pushing me down the road. Yelling and cursing ensued.

He was very apologetic and there was no damage. If he acted like a dick I would have had the highway patrol on his ass in no time to write up an accident report.

As was said before, he probably really didn't see you. I can see how it would be possible, especially in an older truck with the long square nose. I know of at least one story of a motorcyclist who was killed when a dumptruck driver ran over him cause he forgot he was there when the light turned green.
Dump trucks and 18 wheelers aren't something to fuck around with. Glad you're ok and your car made it out in decent shape.

Har har, I was going to Hoboken to see some friends, and using the PATH + subway late at night can take a while. i.e. LONGER than driving

Yeah I realize that, but like I said I slowly merged over (and I wasn't all up on him at that point)and there's no freaking way he didn't see me. He basically forgot I was there

i would have made a report and had his job. as a truck driver with a cdl he should hve paid more attention, even more so in the city (i dont have cdl)

Think whatever you like, but this DID in fact happen to me Thursday night. And like I said since I couldn't see any damage on the car I didn't call it in. Not to mention I was blocking the entire ramp from I-87 to the George Washington Bridge, I would have pissed off probably 10,000 people at a minimum. This is assuming a cop car could get through to where I was. And then to have the cop laugh at me and call me an idiot. I highly doubt ANY sensible person would have done anything other than what I did.
