Maybe he was just doing what the GPS device was telling him to do.

HA! I saw that dude in Qdoba for lunch yesterday with another trooper. He was joking around with the cashier trying to pay her a dollar less than what his bill was...something seemed odd about him.

This guy is charged with

1) Drunk driving
2) Failing to stop at a stop sign
3) Child abuse
4) Assault on a law enforcement officer
5) Carrying a concealed weapon

How many of these charges will be dropped?

My bet is all but the drunk driving.

yeah that's how state charges work... they add on every fucking little thing they can think of and then let you plea bargain it down. federal, not so much

A few years ago in this county a trooper was some 13 miles behind a chase and came over a hill at 110+ mph and hit and killed two 70 y.o ladies. That night all vehicles involved were removed from the county and the DOT fixed the guardrail. The trooper was later found to be grossly negligent.. not just negligent but grossly negligent... and he didn't even lose his job. Anyone else would be in prison.
