in front of my house, on either side of the front, there are No Parking Wed. 8AM-12PM signs
the sign on the far left (facing the house) has an arrow pointing to the left
the sign on the far right has an arrow pointing to the right... these arrows point away from one another

this seems to suggest that the area in front of my house is always free for parking
however, I got a parking ticket this morning

btw, my house does NOT have a driveway for me to park in

I'm going to take a picture of my car parked where it is between the two signs that point away from the car and suggest that in front of my house is a sweet oasis of free parking

I understand WHY the signs are posted... the road is narrow and a pain in the ass for the garbage truck but I was parked very close to the retaining wall that is my front yard and this is the first time I've ever had a problem

It is only a $10 ticket but its the principle of the thing, ya know?

i tried this with ncsu transportation

they had a sign ON THE LINE of a parking space with an arrow pointing towards the left

anyone in their right mind would think this meant that the space in question was a DE space and all the others were RD spaces

oh noooo

got a $40 ticket

appealed it, even submitted pictures

all they did was reduce it to $20, which is basically like saying "yeah, you're right, but we still want SOME money."

The street in front of my house has signs all over it saying No parking M-F 10am-3pm. Every Friday before 3pm, the street is full of muslim's cars. They are all going to the temple right next to my house. They even block my driveway, parking right in front of it! When I confronted the lady, she acted like she didn't know it was a driveway. What a dumbass, there were three cars parked in our driveway, with one entrance/exit to the street, and she parked right in front of it. I am going to call the cops this Friday, and have him issue every car on the street mad parking tickets.

The ticket usually says what the infraction was. Does yours? If it says "no parking zone" or something, you might have a case. You weren't near a driveway or something, were you?

Or some residential areas are set up so residents can park somewhere but still need a permit. There should be signs if that's the case, but there might not be one right by your house.

Its like there is a ji'haad (sp?) every friday afternoon in my neighborhood. The road turns into a one-way street, and I don't budge when one of them comes the opposite way of me. I make them go in reverse all the way back down the street
