while i think this looks retarded... they had the trailer before Golden Compass and the visuals actually looked kinda cool.

yeah I'm all for camp with material like this but the art direction is horrendous

its like ultraviolet raped and impregnated moulin rouge

too bad too, the casting looks pretty good

I don't know if it will be bad or good, but as a fan of cheap racing films and "Speed Racer", I'll probably go watch.

I get they're trying to make it look like a cartoon, and the Speed Racer cartoons it's based on had ridiculous premises anyway. (Guy saves a lot of people and puts criminals in jail by winning races.) Not sure how it will look though.

They're also probably going to make a lot of money in Japan/Korea. Speed Racer was a Japanimation cartoon dubbed into English anyway, and they have South Korean pop star Rain in the film.

I always found it odd that they didn't take more safety precautions.
