I dunno just yet. I got the 55mW version, so I'm guessing about 2 miles or so. Tonight I'm gonna try and shine it from my condo on some of the buildings in downtown Atlanta. It could also be fun shining it down on some people on the street (I live on the 22nd floor)

You should modify it with your glass eye. That would be hot!

did you just get it for cool factor or do you have a use in mind? 12/8/2007 4:50:26 PM |

A lot of it (most) is for the cool factor... but I give a lot of presentations, and decided to go for the green as opposed to the conventional red lasers. 12/8/2007 4:52:05 PM |

If I were to get a special "lens" to put on it and focus the beam, this one could pop a balloon or light a match. I don't care to modify it in any way, and if I wanted one that burned something, I'd just buy a higher power one.
Shit, I just checked the product page, and it says that it can go as far as 15 miles ] 12/8/2007 4:56:09 PM |

Don't shine it on airliners or you can temporarily blind the flight crew. 12/8/2007 5:30:59 PM |
