Has anyone else played North Carolina scratch-offs semi-regularly? I get one maybe once a week and I can't even remember the last time I won. Has anyone else noticed that they pay out quite shittily?

stop buying the $1 ones... the only way to win anything is to splurge for the $5 ones.

Yeah, whip that shit out about my name referencing weed in it, fags. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I'm right. I've played in New York quite a bit and I can usually win at least every 4 tickets or so. I haven't been buying the $1 ones either. $2-$3 always. I've played about 10 times over the past 3 months without winning shit though and the odds say you should at least win your money back about every 4 times you play. Just pissing me off because they're cheap bastards.

i'm no expert on lotteries, but i'm pretty sure that the odds say that you'll lose money if you play regularly.

True, but they're supposed to make it so that you win occasionally to fire up that addiction part of the brain. It just makes gambling no fun at all.

reading comprehension

he means once every 4 times, you'll win a free ticket or the money back for that one ticket... not all 4.

I don't buy them on a regular basis . . . but when I do I get the 1 or 2 dolla ones and normally atleast get a free ticket. Most I've won was like $5 bucks of a $2 dollar buck scratch off. And don't you pay attention to the news? The NC scratch offs do pay out less than the surrounding states and the legislature just granted some guy the ability to increase the amount of pay out and shit.

that's not a reading comprehension problem, that's a sentence structure problem.

^^^ If I honestly thought that I was supposed to make money on a regular basis by buying lottery tickets, I would drive myself to wherever you are and let you kick me square in the balls.

it's really amusing when the pot gets really high, and TONS AND TONS of people show up to decrease odds.

It's also funny to have a conversation with a bank exec, you know well, talk about wanting to buy a ticket

Having more people play doesn't decrease your odds of winning. It just changes how much you win if someone else does too.

^^ Tell that to all the trailer trash dipshits who've won over the years, genius.

I know plenty of people who aren't trailer trash dipshits who try their luck on the lottery. It's only stupid until you win.

my dad plays the lottery, and he's neither stupid nor trash.

it's just that the reward:risk to buy a $2 each week (or however much powerball tickets are in pennsylvania) is very very high.
