get the NCSU job without a college degree? Hey gets the nod in May and by June he's already gotten a college degree from St. Paul's College in Virginia, a HBCU through an online program. Its a private school, so we cannot access his records or transcripts.

Which begs the question: how could the potential college coach earn a bachelor's degree in one month?

WHAT A RETARDED POST. One of the hardest majors to get into here because of its popularity and also one of the most productive when it comes time to enter graduate school, law school, and employment. Good one though guy.Trust me. Anyways back to sports...he had 6 hours left to complete when he was talked to. He finished them and then finished the paper work.

i've been reading the new book out "When March Went Mad" and it includes a little section on Sidney Lowe and his present history. Basically Sid's mom was all about him getting his degree. He left for the NBA without a degree, played, went to coaching, etc. For the past several years he's been taking a minimal amount of courses and was near graduation when NCSU sought him out. Actually it says that NC State asked Lowe for his opinion of who would be a good candidate and as Lowe tried to help NCSU find one he realized that he was a great fit and decided to apply. Fowler let him know he had to have a college degree, and Sid agreed to finish it up in time. Apparently Sid's mom was more happy about the college degree than any of his championships as Sid was the first in his family to get a degree.
