Just stick a Windows installation CD in the drive. Reboot. A couple screens into it, you can choose to delete your partition.

If you want to reinstall windows, you'll have to create a new partition and format it, then let the installation continue.

it basically does all the complicated stuff for you with XP or higher just select the correct partition and tel it format to NTFS (dont use quick format)

complicated as in ya know, format c: ? lol

Also, just curious.. what's the reason for the normal format vs quick? Not saying you're wrong, just curious and don't feel like googling

Isn't a normal format a true format where you can't recover files and it rewrites the whole Hd with all 0s, but a quick format leaves the files on and tells the computer just to write over them when it needs space, so if you format using quick, and get rid of your HD, someone can pick up the HD and restore it....
