I have noticed what looks like a black stripe on both the Duke and UNC Men's Basketball Uniforms this year. UNC's uniform has the black stripe on the back over the player's name, and it it on the front of the Duke uniform on the left side.

Anyone know why the black stripe is on these (and perhaps other) uniforms?

^^ A national champion does not a best conference make. Otherwise the ACC would have been the best football conference back when FSU had Charlie Ward and later Chris Weinke.

every ACC team, of every sport has a black bar on their uniform this year for VT.
