last night on the way home from work i noticed one of my headlights was out. no big deal i'll go get a new one, the lights were only a year old, but anyway... i get home and check all of the lights.
right low light is fine. left low light is out. both high beams work fine. no daytime running lights (which are the high beams, just dimmed). i go inside, change clothes, come back out, still no daytime running lights. i start the car, no daytime lights, drive to my bf's apt about 10 mins away, turn off my headlight, daytime lights come on like normal.
we go to dinner (in his truck), couple of stores, come back and check all of the fuses associated w/ the lights. they're all fine. start the car to go home, and by now you can guess there are no daytime lights but by the time i get home they come on. i still have a headlight out and both high beams still work fine.
i tried to go to the dealership this morning but the electrical guy called in sick (small dealership).
any ideas on what's going on? anything else i can check that i might be able to fix today w/o the dealership? should i buy another light just to see if that's really the problem? computer problem?

yeah, your low-beam bulb is out. replace the bulb. drl's don't come on when the headlights are on. 12/18/2007 9:04:34 AM |

i know the DRL don't come on when the headlights are on, that's why checked it when i got to where ever i was going. they would NOT come one when i first turn the car on (they normally do come on, my headlights are not automatic). they WOULD come on after i got to where ever and turned the headlights off. they did NOT come on at all this morning b/w home and work.
the lowbeam light may in fact be dead, but it just seems kind of odd that it goes out the same day that the DRL problem starts, don't you think? 12/18/2007 9:28:59 AM |

are you saying you've checked to make sure they don't come on ever or that they used to come on while in park because you've noticed the reflection? 12/18/2007 9:50:15 AM |
