I answer this as a girl: if condoms were still our only BC (which they were for ~10months), yes, we would have some on hand. I would insist on it. If possible, I'd rather be able to at least try to sleep through some of the ickiness it causes. If you've got it in the house, you can take it right away.

I work at a pharmacy...you can buy it at any pharmacy. Its behind the counter at the pharmacy section. You need a valid license and about 45-50 dollars and of course have to be 18 years old or older. No tax required. Make sure intercourse wasn't more than 3 days or it won't do much.
