I played around 1998-2001. It was to me what WoW is to most people.

There is this free shard up at http://www.uodivinity.com. Alot of PK action, no Trammel/Felucia crap and it will run on most laptops.

Just thought I'd pass this along.

I just remember taking a break from Ragnarok online to try this out and it having worse graphics than Diablo II.

UO was awesome. I played a ton back in the day on the Hakuto sever. It was fun killing people who didn't speak english. Before they made the two worlds, it was great. Like the wild west. I made like 3k selling my two accounts, which was a lot of money for a kid in high school.

God I was a loser(am still for posting this).

And yes the graphics were crap, but very addictive game.

I played this game form 99-07. I just quit recently actually. Gave my 5th account to my friend. Ended up, over the years, selling my first 3. Made 2-large the first day of housing placement as I placed a castle next to Brit swamp and promptly sold it to a top guild on Catskills.

4th account had 500+ mil on it, but I was part of the Atlantic duping bug (the shard transfer one, not the housing one) and got that one banned.

I log on sometimes, but I'm more addicted to WoW.

If you all are old school and ever played on atlantic or catskills, I am the original BoB.

I bought this game shortly after it came out. I picked a fight with a nightingale in my starting city and after an epic minute-long battle the bird was the victor. After that I gave up on the idea of ever killing anything and played a con-man. I would offer to dye a persons gear and once they handed it over I would run off. Since it wasn't pick-pocketing calling the guards would do nothing but people would scream it out anyway. I miss that.

I played from 98-03. Best MMO ever.

I tried playing a year ago though, it sucks now.
