is still more poignant than ever. it's exposing Jay-Z's flaw while he's on the label. it's like so fucking gully. he really laid the Ether. this came to me while being stoned off bio-lights.

how the fuck is THAT song calling Jay-Z out? And sorry, but Ether doesn't have shit of substance. It's a bunch of bullshit.

1. Gay-Z, Cockafella... really?
2. Jay wasn't 36 at the time
3. Rockerfeller didnt die of AIDS
4. Renegade wasn't Jay's song, it was Em's to begin with.

I mean, it was a nice diss track, but people saying that Nas won b/c of it ridiculous. He can kick his lil lies, Jay will kick his real facts.

I mean, shouldn't everyone think their opinion is right?

IMO, Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint are both better than Illmatic.

Yes, I know he sampled Nas' voice on Dead Presidents, but he was usin it wrong. He made it a hot line, Jay made it a hot song.

thats what sellouts say to justify biting and dickriding

the real question is which did jay do more:

- sample nas
- quote bar after bar of biggie material

jay-z is the best !, but NaS has the classic album. it's like perfect. i can't say that for all hiphop albums. but NaS proved alot with that song. and you can't take that away from him.

great job of picking out the 3 things that may have been fabricated...what about the fact that jay did reference jay all throughout reasonable doubt (his best album) ummm the fact that he was on JZ's dick (sophie fam to mc jay-z) the fact that he constantly bites biggie... imean the list goes on and on

i like jay, hes def the more successful rapper..but he cant c nas in substance, lyrics or a beef any day

and dont forget the fact that ether was clearly the better diss, and then jay made another diss and he still loss..thats a zero hot diss every 2 song average

so you're saying Ether was better than Takeover? and people slept on Supaugly. That shit had some heaters in there.

"since you infatuated with sayin that gay shit, guess you was kissin my dick when you was kissin that bitch"

"gotta hurt I'm your baby momma's favorite rapper"

If you want lyrics and substance, go listen to most of reasonable doubt, "a dream," "meet the parents," "song cry," "Blueprint," "never change," "coming of age," "beach chair," "soon you'll understand," "where have you been," "the streets" "december 4th," "moment of clarity," "lost one"... I could go on and on, but to say he doesn't have substance or lyrics is absurd.

nas was and will always be the street poet

jay...

i mean i love them both for very different reasons....i dont know why it has to be one or the other

they're both nice in very diff. ways

even if they did go at eachother, that doesnt mean they're comparable style wise

Iron Sheik was a wrestler.

i think Jay-Z wins it cause he's like Jordan in the 4th quarter sometimes. NaS is like Allen Iverson. Jay-Z's like Kobe Bryant. and Biggie was like Michael Jordan. and that's the bottom line.

Jay is like Larry Johnson cause he gets paid out the ass for not doing anything worthwhile

meanwhile Nas is like Gerald Wallace...one of the best but everybody sleeps on him cause the television and radio dont tell everybody how good he is

^ i don't disagree with that, but NaS was just not consistent enough. and that's the difference. jay was consistent and top notch at the same time.

i like reasonable doubt

but after that, imo jay was consistently mediocre...he was just as successful for his rhymes as he was for pharrell's abilities to make bitches dance in the club

jay is fine for playing in the club, but i'll be damned if i'm gonna have his shit playing in my spot

hell listen to DITC's The Graveyard...Jay is the worst of all of them in that track

but its all preference and personal choice

the thing about Jay is how when his albumed dropped "American Gansta" time just stopped. it was like whoa this is new music that has content and worth buying. not too much music is like that anymore that i'd rather actually pay for it.

it was written was dope...you got the gun track, track 4 or whatever thats crazy underrated..then a couple joints with havoc and p on them

plus you look at nas' compilations on other cats albums like on the infamous and the first verse of verbal intercourse off the cuban linx album...i dont know how cats can say jay is a better rapper unless they put more value on popularity instead of lyrical skills but its all personal preference
