i already bought one for like $54 but i cant get the sound to work properly, video works great though so i have to return it back to tiger direct.

(thats the reason for the vista upgrade, if i can upgrade and make it work, ill keep the $50 one)

i have the pinnacle HD one...it works just fine for me, though i haven't tried it with digital cable or anything, just OTA HD and regular cable...got it for ~$60 from CC/BB on sale

tiger direct has the refurb. for like $60 or so. i want to try to do an even swap with another one.

ill check online for a cheaper place to buy. i think i am going to go with the pinnacle

i have the eyeTV and its awesome. it comes with a HD antenna.

gah, i'm really dumb today...i didn't even look at your link...that's the same one i have and, like i said, i really like it...i want to say that in another thread someone mentioned that it doesn't do HD cable, but i really don't know much about A/V and i haven't researched it

fwiw, we get "free" regular cable and the local stations putting out HD (5, 11, 17, 50) come through in HD just beautifully...the pinnacle doesn't pick those up, though (it might have something to do with the way the jacks are set up, since the other two jacks in the apartment aren't active...or it might have to do with the pinnacle, i don't know)

i got it for the simple ability to watch cable on my computer in my room in case the roommates were watching something i wasn't interested in...it does that pretty well

works with dscaler, too
