Good thing they are showing it has not been shipped yet. I have it in my hand and upon calling to activate it got some Indian girl who swears the phone is activated on another line. ]1/8/2008 3:43:11 PM |

I had this issue when I got my phone. It took THREE FUCKING WEEKS to get it right. Same deal, I was holding the phone in my hand and they were telling me it hadn't shipped.

So how do I get past the foreign "activations dept" to a place I can convince someone the phone is not active on another line I am holding it in my hand at it says "NO SERVICE" on the screen. ] 1/8/2008 3:45:54 PM |

hang up, try again. Use the number here http://gethuman.com/
It's a crapshoot as to which call center you get routed to, but I've only ever gotten a foreign call center when I call after business hours.
If that fails, PM me.

It's a SERO line, does that matter? And yes I got the Indian person by calling the SERO number.

Not if I can help it. Back before the merger the people in there were not complete dumbasses. After all the stores merged I went to the crossroads one, took my blackberry in there, waited a half hour, then was told they did not know how to activate a blackberry with a sim card and the best thing to do was call customer service.
MIND YOU THEY HAD THE SAME PHONE ON DISPLAY IN THERE. ]1/8/2008 3:49:03 PM |

That took me to India too, the girl I got had no clue how to port my old # from another carrier. Took 3 calls to get that one right.
For what I'm paying though, I can deal with a few hassles.1/8/2008 4:08:35 PM |

the point, like bacardi alluded to, is that every sprint store i've ever been to sucks ass--i'd rather rather deal with customer service1/8/2008 4:12:56 PM |

Nextel was awesome, Sprint sucks something awful to bring them down that far.1/8/2008 4:13:48 PM |

^was that a sprint corporate store, or an authorized dealer? I cant imagine why it would take more than 5 minutes to activate a phone unless there was an issue somewhere with the ESN.
Even then, shouldn't take long at all. 1/8/2008 4:15:21 PM |

what email are you using. the retention rep i spoke to last was an incompetent moron and didn't want to help me out in the least, despite my 4 year stint with them and being out of contract.
I just want to switch plans to sero and get an HTC phone to replace my shitty broken treo 1/9/2008 6:19:25 PM |
