Seriously man, just stop. about 90% of the states in the country have failed to win any athletic events on a national level. Getting to the national championship as regularly as they have is a hell of an accomplishment and I would probably trade my left nut to have NCstate in their position--even if we embarrassingly lost every time.

I hate tOSU for being a part of the most overated football conference ever. I also hate that they were given on the national championship against miami on a bullshit interference call. I also think something shady is going on with the basketball program as they are all of a sudden signing top 5 classes out of nowhere. It's also fucking GAY that they say THE Ohio State University/ These are legitimate things to hate on tOSU for.

Making championship games in the major sports over and over is not.

Thad was recruiting Conley and Oden before he was at OSU, then when he went there, they switched their interests to follow suit. Matta has been successful so far wherever he's been. Plus kids know at OSU they'll play in top-notch facilities and get TV exposure.

ha, take LSU, Florida, Georgia, or maybe even Tennessee and they'd easily run the table in the big 11. Going undefeated in the big 11 or hell even having 1 loss just means that you'll likely get your asses kicked by an SEC team.

Losing the national championship isn't something to be ashamed of or failure, but the problem I have is when they won't admit they were completly outplayed and just shouldn't have been there. OSU benefited this year from their schedule, I just wish the fans would say "yep this year this system worked in our favor to get us there, then we just couldn't hang." Instead its like "excuse, excuse, excuse, bad calls, excuse excuse excuse, tresslevest, excuse."

I give tOSU credit for working the system to get themselves a few extra million, because in the end its all about the money to these schools.

It is a lower tier bowl that went with choosing the most profitable matchup. They were choosing an ACC team either way, and that was the purpose of it.

Are you comparing the selection process of the gator bowl to the selection process of the BCS championship game? Please tell me that wasn't what you were trying to do there...

I get what you are saying, but you picked a terrible example. It isn't the same thing, and if I remember correctly everyone knew we went to that game because of our fan following etc, and that we jumped teams to get there. Difference was when we jumped teams to get there, we took care of business.

I can even remember talking sports back then and laughing about how we leaped other teams to get into the game. I'm not a dillusional fan like some people, I'll admit when my teams don't belong(I've learned to do that just by going to State).

Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup and Appalachian State has 3 titles in the last 3 years.

Those should count for NC....but I guess Ohio does have Mount Union who has like 1000 D-III titles.
