that sounds pretty neat. im the kind of person that gets bored easily so i think cruises would rule cause you just stop in each place long enough to see the stuff and not get bored. and i wanna keep it as close to 2 weeks as possible. its a celebration so i dont really care if one way is a few bucks more. im more concerned with not being bored and covering lots of distance.
but its a 14 day cruise and literally 7 days at sea leaving from florida before you even get to the azores, but then ireland and paris then amsterdam
doesnt it sound like it would be more fun to fly to somewhere and then maybe float around for 5-7 days where there is more than just water. cause i was thinking it would be cool to go to alaska too. but no way in hell i can go from alaska to amsterdam by boat.
unless i fly to alaska then cruise west (too much ice? haha) over to europe, and then fly out of amsterdam and come home. that would be cool
give me ideas people, what have you done that included alaska, maybe asia, and europe. preferably 2 long plane rides with a cruise boat and random rental cars in between. fuck mexico btw 1/9/2008 3:11:54 AM |

From what I understand, the authorities have been cracking down on christiania a lot in the last year or so.
As for the OP, I've been wanting to do a long cruise along the croatian coast for some time now. There are tons of options that I saw last time I was in Split and most were relatively small boats that just island hopped.

10/10, B. i recommend flying there for like $700 bucks and getting a hotel in Dam Square and calling it a day. there's a crazy chinese restaurant around the corner. totally not like any Chinese food i've ever had before. my favorite coffee shop was either Blue Bird or the fucking GREEN HOUSE.
also I remember eating at WAGNAMARA alot. think that's the name of it. Van Gogh museum was nice and the ANNE FRANK house was nuts. went to this really cool restaurant where chicks were eating each other out while you ate. FUCKING AWESOME. amsterdam rocks. ever year it's better. 1/17/2008 12:02:48 AM |

I'd do some research on this long cruise. From what I hear, open water cruises are a bit rough. If you get sea sick easy, I'd stay away from them. Also 7 days at sea is a long time looking at just water. Hopefully there is good entertainment on board. If it's a working vessel then that's different. That would be fun because you partake as the ship's crew and get up early and work your butt off and paid some good money for it....wait that doesn't sound fun now.
I'd recommend flying to anywhere and cruising. It's much easier. I've done European cruises and they were a lot of fun and really cool. I plan on doing some South Pacific or Asia cruises next. Just remember that anywhere internationally will be more expensive with out dollar being so low now. Also the international cruises and Alaska are not as much party cruises and tend to have an older crowd that can afford these expensive cruises.
The nicest thing about cruises is you get to see a lot of cool places and can relax and enjoy or things like shows during the down time in between destinations. You can't do that if you are traveling by car, plane, or train. 2/29/2008 11:57:15 AM |
