I've got a completely original key to the game here: not going 4/21 from the 3

UNC - 91
NCSU - 79

We only get to 79 because UNC pushes it up the floor so fast.

i honestly don't know if we can keep from getting blown out by more than 20. with us potentially being without both fells and horner, i just don't see us keeping it anywhere close.

Should we go ahead and define the spread that counts as a moral victory?

Moral Victory-None

lose by less than 35 if Fells doesnt play and they should get to keep their scholarship.

Fells being hurt might be the nail in coffin. I still had faith that we could hang with Carolina before, but without Fells who the hell is going to have a chance to stop Ellington?

lol stopping ellington is not a problem at all. He's just an open shooter and its not like fells has done a good job staying with shooters this year. The main problem with losing fells is losing a ball handler that can break you down off the dribble and finish against uncs pressure defense. Horner and fells are also 2 shooters we are without. Furgey is playing awful and now he won't even be 100%. We know the shooting/scoring abilities of johnson and Javi so all hope is lost.

Even if we play perfect defense where are the 70+ points going to come from? have we put up 70 at all this year? Has Roy ever scored under ~70?

There is always a first time for everything

[Edited on January 9, 2008 at 9:57 PM. Reason : if stopping their 2nd best scorer isn't a problem, then we should have this in the bag]

I expected two UNC blowouts last year and only got one.

So I mean anything is possible.

But man we can play some terrible basketball.

Wow, this will be painful to watch.

We should just play MJ, Grant, Costner, Hickson and McCauley 95% of the game. Play a box and 1 with the 1 being Grant/MJ shadowing Ellington. And on offense, just lull them to sleep and not take a shot until there's less than 5 seconds on the clock. Do all that and we'll still lose by 20 but it won't be by 50+ which is very likely with all the injuries and lack of offense we have.

rebounding, roughing up hansbrough, and not leaving ellington are the keys.
