what other reason is there? as a student/alum, when state plays they represent me. maryland does not do this for you.

but i do think, if you grow up a maryland fan, AND GO TO STATE, maryland should AT LEAST drop to your 2nd favorite team behind state

Maryland will never drop down to #2 for me, it's pretty much a tie. When they play each-other, I have lots of internal conflicts... and I usually don't pull for either.
