got a new headboard and footboard and need to sand it to repaint it
hand sanding is taking forever on just the front side of the headboard, so im really not even 1/4 of the way doe and ive been at it awhile

harbor freight has them cheap or chemical strip it, I have used the orange stuff from walmart. it works like a champ. scrape the paint off with a plastic putty knife 1/13/2008 5:41:50 PM |

takes stain off? not paint, and wont effect the wood i assume

it will take polyurethane off, it wont take stain off. I have stripped gunstocks with it. thinner wont do alot for stuff that has dried, I dont think.

well i tried different times
i left it on for not very long the first time, threw some water up there and scrubbed with steel wool
then i tried letting it sit for a long time...and scrubbing again, nothing different really
